Russia Student Visa Requirements

What You'll Need for Your Student Visa:
Valid Passport
Current passport with at least 6 months validity beyond your intended stay in Russia, with sufficient blank pages for visa stamping.
University Invitation Letter
Official invitation issued by Russian Federal Migration Service agency or telex from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirming your enrollment.
Visa Application Form
Completed visa application form filled online and printed from visa.kdmid.ru with one recent passport-size photo glued to the indicated space.
Medical Insurance
Valid medical insurance with at least 30,000 EUR coverage valid for Russia for the duration of your stay.
HIV Test Certificate (Mandatory)
Student must submit HIV Test (AIDS) Certificate taken within the last 3 months. This is a mandatory requirement for all student visa applicants.
Educational Documents
12th grade certificates with minimum 55% marks from a recognized institution. For MBBS: Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) required.
Additional Requirements:
For MBBS programs, NEET Score Card is mandatory with a passing score to be eligible for admission. All students must provide MOI (Medium of Instruction) Certificate as part of the application documentation. Some programs require entrance examinations—for example, Synergy University MBBS requires an entrance test (US$200 fee) in English, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum passing score of 40/100.
Visa Fees & Processing:
The visa fee is RUB 237 (approximately ₹250). In addition to the visa fee, applicants must pay a service fee of ₹2,200 (including GST) per application at the Russian Visa Application Centre. Payment can be made in cash or by debit/credit card. Please note that all payments made are non-refundable.
