Ireland Student Visa Requirements

What You'll Need for Your Student Visa:
Application Timing
Apply 8–12 weeks before your course begins. Last-minute applications (under 3 weeks before travel) are not processed.
Visa Fees (approx. INR 18,600 total)
Includes multiple entry visa, service charges, document checks, courier, and SMS updates.
Minimum Deposit
At least €6,000 must be paid toward tuition before applying.
Funds Required
Bank statements showing tuition plus at least €12,000/year for living expenses.
Required Documents
Completed application form with payment/appointment confirmations; a valid passport with at least 6 months validity along with all previous passports; a recent passport photo; university acceptance letter, fee payment confirmation, academic transcripts, and English test scores; proof of funds including bank statements, balance certificate, ITRs, education loan or sponsor documents, fixed deposits, and property valuation (if applicable); medical insurance with a minimum €100/year coverage; and a Police Clearance Certificate.
Important Notes
Full fee payment helps faster visa processing. Sponsors need to show stable income to cover all costs. Recent large deposits must have clear source documentation. Dependents/spouse cannot apply with student visa initially.
