Sweden Student Visa Requirements

What You'll Need for Your Student Residence Permit:
Valid Passport
Passport must be valid for entire period of your intended stay in Sweden.
Tuition Fee Payment
Proof of first semester/year tuition payment or scholarship documentation covering fees. Not applicable for EU/EEA students or PhD candidates.
University Admission
Acceptance letter from Swedish university for full-time studies with at least 30 ECTS credits per semester.
Comprehensive Insurance
Valid health insurance covering entire stay. EU students use European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
Financial Proof
Show SEK 102,816 per academic year (SEK 8,568 per month) for living expenses. Evidence through bank statements, scholarships, or CSN loan.
Additional Documents
Previous education certificates, passport-sized photographs, and proof of English proficiency if not native speaker.
